On this double-page spread, I employed poetic license to depict Matteo's premature entrance into the world: the baby "bursting" through the living room door where everyone gathered, as if proclaiming, "I've arrived! I'm here!" Numerous studies were conducted, including extensive sketches from the initial drafts, using my trusted Faber-Castell TK-Fine Vario L 0.3 mm mechanical pencil (I have the entire collection of this brand, underscoring my fondness for sketching and refining drawings freehand with it) – all aimed at better conveying the concept.
